Teaching Experience
This fall I will begin my 19th year of teaching in GCISD. I was named O.C. Taylor's Teacher of the Year for the 2013-2014 school year. This was a true honor and will always be a highlight for me!
Helping students grow academically and socially is one of the greatest rewards of my career. I believe one of the greatest discoveries a child can make is believing in themselves. It is a privilege to help a child make deep, meaningful connections that last far beyond the second grade.

About Me

I graduated from the University of North Texas with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies. My husband, Kyle, and I met at UNT and have been married for 21 years. We have two wonderful boys. Cade is freshman at Auburn University (#WarEagle) and Campbell is a sophomore at CHHS.
We have two fur-babies, Duke and Tucker. They are sweet puppies that keep us very busy! Kyle and I spend much of our free time with our family, visiting with friends, and traveling. During my downtime, I love to read, shop, scrapbook/craft and catch an episode or two of anything I have on my DVR.
