Arrival: 7:25 a.m.-7:40 a.m.

• PreK, K, Those Needing Assistance = Bus Loop (North Loop)

• 1st - 5th grades, and Those Needing N0 Assistance = Tiger Loop (South Loop)

• Instruction begins promptly at 7:40 a.m. If you arrive after 7:40 a.m., you will need to park in the front parking lot and walk your child(ren) up to the front doors. Please ring the bell by the front door to let our front office staff know that your child has arrived. Kindly sign in your child(ren) using the binder on the front vestibule table.  Please make every effort to arrive on time. Students who are tardy miss valuable instructional time and often feel anxious or embarrassed starting their day late. 

Dismissal: 3:00  p.m

WALKERS and Bikers: If you are meeting a child who is walking home, please wait off of the school property to retrieve your child. Limiting the number of people around cars and children helps with visibility and safety. Also, we do not have a 1:1 ratio to escort your child directly to you. Students who plan to walk or bike home must be capable of doing so independently.  If your child does not understand where to walk to in order to meet you, you must use the vehicle pick-up loop. Practicing prior to school starting is a good idea. 

• Walkers crossing Pool Road: If your child crosses Pool Road at the crosswalk, please wait on the east side to retrieve them after they have crossed the crosswalk.

• Walkers headed north toward Arbor Trail, Hall-Johnson, or Compass: If your child heads north toward Hall-Johnson on the west side of Pool, please meet your child on the Pool Road sidewalk by the bike racks, just north of our Bus Loop entrance.

• Walkers headed through the field behind the school: Please meet your child on the playground.

• Walkers headed south on Glade Road toward the round-a-bout: Please meet your child in front of the fire station on Pool Road.

BUS and  DAYCARE RIDERS:

• After the dismissal bell rings, staff will dismiss these students first. Two staff members will be on duty to ensure that your child gets on the correct bus or daycare van. 

CAR PICKUP:

• BUS LOOP Dismissal - Our three school buses must enter the bus loop first in order to safely load students, as well as stay on schedule for their routes. Parents in vehicles who are in picking up PreK and kindergarten students must wait to pull into the loop until the buses have loaded. We recommend that you wait to arrive until 2:50 p.m.

• Pre-K, Kinder, and siblings:  Please use the Bus Loop to retrieve your child as this is the loop closest to our Tiny Tigers’ classrooms and allows for you to offer assistance and get out of your vehicle if necessary.

• 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th: Please use the Tiger Loop to retrieve your child. Please remain in your vehicle. This lane is reserved for students who do not need assistance getting in and out of the vehicle.

• Please have your 24-25 Smart Dismissal Hang Tag hanging from your rearview mirror. If you forget your Hang Tag, please pull in the parking lot and wait until the last car leaves. Then, please bring your driver’s license to the office to retrieve your child.
