2018-2019 will begin my 16th year in education and my fourth year as assistant principal at O.C. Taylor. I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in May of 2001 with my Bachelor of Science and in 2009, I received my master's degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington.

This will be my ninth year in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD. I spent two years as a 4th grade teacher at Heritage Elementary before serving as the Learning Liaison at Heritage and Bear Creek Elementary. Prior to that, I spent eight years in Irving ISD where I taught 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade. I also served Irving ISD as an Instructional Specialist for 2 years. I have been intentional in my professional and educational development to choose positions that will grow me as a leader and expand my knowledge of curriculum and instruction while studying best practices for student success.

I am so blessed to have a wonderful network of family and friends that surround me. I have been married for 15 years to my college sweetheart and we have two beautiful children. My daughter will be in 8th grade and my son will be in 4th grade here with me at O.C. Taylor.

I am so thankful to have a career that I love that allows me to work alongside amazing educators. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, shopping ;-), and running.

I am so honored to serve the students, families, and community of O.C. Taylor. I look forward to walking alongside you this year as we "Navigate our Future" together!
